165 mm is Good!

We generally recommend 165 mm length cranks for road fixed-gear use. This shorter length makes it easier to spin faster cadences, and also reduces the risk of striking a pedal while cornering (with a fixed gear, where you have to pedal through the corners, this can be an issue.)

Bulletproof Silver 110 BCD Cranks only $39.95

Bulletproof BMX cranks can be used as a single or double chainring setup.

These use the highly versatile 110 mm bolt circle, and fit standard tapered-square bottom bracket axles.

Chainline w/107 mm bottom bracket:

• 43.4 mm as double (middle of spider)

130 mm BCD Cranks for fixed-gear/singlespeed applications

For road applications with fixed gears, you can buy a genuine track crankset, but we normally recommend modifying a "road" double instead.

"Road" cranks are typically considerably less expensive, and use the 130 mm bolt circle, for a much better choice of chainrings at reasonable prices.

Any of the "road" double cranks listed below can be converted to single. All you need is a set of "single" chainring stack bolts.

130 mm BCD "Road" Double Cranks for Fixed/Singlespeed use

You really don't need a fixed-gear specific crankset for your fixed-gear or singlespeed bike. You can use a typical "road double" crankset with the outer chainring removed. You will need a set of short "stack bolts" because the normal double stack bolts will be too long once you remove the outer chainring.

Typical "road" double cranksets put the chainline of the inner (smaller) ring at about 41 mm, which works pretty well with a typical track hub.
