Parts list for Morrow models B and V
Morrow was for many years one of the top brands of coaster brake. The "slotted sprocket" was a Morrow specialty, making it possible to replace a broken spoke without needing to remove the sprocket.
Morrow models use a split sleeve type brake shoe.
When the brake is applied, the thread in the Driving Screw (112/307) presses the Nut and Sleeve Expander (111) against the Brake Sleeve (112) expanding the brake sleeve so that it presses against the inside of the hub shell. The Sleeve Expander With Teeth (113) expands the left end of the Brake Sleeve (112), and its teeth engage the matching teeth in the Cone Arm Side (114) to prevent the shoe from rotating with the hub.
When you pedal forward, the thread in the Driving Screw (112/307) pulls the Nut and Sleeve Expander (111) against the Brake Sleeve (112) against the Clutch Ring (110) which expands and grips the inside of the hub shell.
