The Gunnar Ruffian shares the geometry of the Rockhound, adapted with an eccentric bottom bracket and vertical dropouts using 135mm rear spacing for single speed hubs. Eccentric bottom bracket for chain tension adjustment.
The front end geometry is set to accommodate 80mm travel forks. Just like the Rockhound,TM the rider is placed in an aggressive cross country position, ideal for climbing, nimble technical work and descents. Fixed gear or freewheel, this warrior is at home in the crush of the city, early season training rides or roller riding.
The Ruffian 29er's front end layout includes a machined head tube design which provides plenty of front fork clearance. Also, our 22" and 23.5" 29er designs offer a great fit to really big riders, thanks to the taller 29er forks.
