In the late 1990s, Derby Cycle, parent company of Raleigh USA, bought Univega. For a couple of years thereafter, they had parallel Raleigh/Univega models, essentially identical.
The Univega brand name has now been retired, and new bicycles are no longer available under the Univega brand name.
