Much as I love the great old frames, I have little nostalgia for old parts, especially brakes. This is a fast bike, with only one brake, so I wanted that brake to be the very best. Shimano long-reach dual pivot caliper, Shimano Tiagra brake lever, Kool Stop "BMX" brake shoes...it doesn't get any better than this in 2002!
