The front brake is dual-controlled, with one cable housing running down to each side of the Shimano LX V Brake. I used a (no longer available) World Class "V-Daptor" eccentric pulley to allow the use of a BMX/freestyle lever on the upper bars, which was not intended for V Brakes. This lever also incorporates a "stopper" button that lets it act as a parking brake.
