Newton, July 23, 2000This is the sort of photo that the digital medium really helps with. I took probably 30-40 exposures to get this one, which would have been very expensive in film and processing...but with the digital camera, there's no loss, I just erase the rejects.
There is a certain amount of time lag with any camera, but due to the instant feedback, I was able to figure out when in the swing to push the button to have the exposure occur at perigee.
Getting the circular motion of the camera just right was also tricky, but, again, the instant feedback was a big help in getting this right.
