The steps of a Mayan pyramid are rather tall and rather steep, which can get scary. The effect is somewhat exaggerated by the 200 mm lens used for this photo.There is a chain running down the middle of the steps, to act as a handhold for the timid. The figures in red skirts are a group of schoolchildren on a field trip.
