Chains for Multi-speed (Derailleur) Bikes

SRAM PC-870 (Formerly "PC-58") CH1030 $21.95 Our favorite chain for most applications. Works with all derailleur systems except 9-/10-speed, including Shimano HG and IG. Includes a "Power Link" re-usable master link. This is our main recommendation for bikes with 5-, 6-, 7- or 8-speed rear clusters. (This chain was formerly known as PC-58, but SRAM has re-done their model numbering system, replacing all of the two digit model numbers withe 3 digit ones.) SRAM PC951 (Formerly "PC59") (9-speed) (CH1084) $21.95  SRAM 9-speed chain.. Works with all 9-speed derailer systems. Includes a "Power Link" re-usable master link. (This chain was formerly known as PC-59, but SRAM has re-done their model numbering system, replacing all of the two digit model numbers withe 3 digit ones.) SRAM Power Links $4.95 These re-usable master links allow you to open and close your chain for cleaning without damaging any links. Specify 7-/8-speed or 9-speed version. Sram Power Link Re-usable master link. One of these is included with every SRAM derailer chain. PowerLink 7-/8-speed $4.95 PowerLink II 9-speed $4.95 SRAM PC-1050 (10-speed) (CH1093) $39.95  Works with Shimano & SRAM 10-speed derailer systems. Includes a PowerLink connecting link. Wippermann ConneX 10S0 (10-speed) (CH1437) $44.95  Wippermann 10-speed chain.. Works with all 10-speed derailer systems. Includes a "Connex" re-usable master link. 3/32" Half Links $3.95 If you are having trouble fitting the desired gears onto a bike with vertical dropouts, this link will let you add or subtract 1/2 a link (1/2 inch) from your chain, allowing you to move the axle 1/4" forward or backward. We never used to be able to get half-links for the narrow chain, this is a new item!
