The new Electra Townie has a rather unusual geometry, similar to a cruiser, but quite a bit more comfortable. The forward pedal position allows the bike to be adjusted so that the rider can stop with both feet on the ground, and yet still get decent leg extension to the pedals. The geometry combines featues and advantages of both upright and recumbent designs. I found it surprisingly pleasant to ride, even up a steep hill.
