Terry Bicycles of the Past:

Road

Despatch --

A sport bicycle manufactured in Japan from 1986 to 1988 before it was replaced by Symmetry. Retailed for $500-$650.

Prism --

A sport bicycle manufactured in Japan from 1989 to 1990. Shimano components, 14 speeds. Available in red or ice blue. Retailed for about $600.

Gambit --

A sport bicycle we licensed through a now defunct distributor. Made first in Taiwan, then in Japan during 1987-1989. Retailed for $350-$450.

Decision --

Very limited edition, handbuilt Despatch (made in Rochester, NY) during 1987 in twin 700C configuration. Retailed for $700. A real find if you come across one!

Precision --

The original, handbuilt in Rochester, NY Terry sport bicycle. Manufactured from 1985-1988. Retailed for $650-$900.

Crescendo --

A handbuilt racing bicycle made in Rochester, NY. Manufactured from 1986-1988. Retailed for $850-$1000.

Chrom --

Manufactured in Japan from 1988-1989 as a road racing bicycle. Retailed for $800. Chrom Tri -- Same as Chrom, but featured Scott Aero Bars. Retailed for $850.

Mountain

Mt. Marcy --

Our first mountain bicycle, made in Japan from 1987-1989. Retailed for $650.

Jacaranda --

Mt. Marcy with a new name, made in Japan from 1990-1992. Featured Shimano Deore DX components. Retailed for $800. Made in Taiwan from 1993-1995. The 'S' version had front suspension. Retailed for $900.

Hybrid

Athene --

Made in Taiwan from 1988-1989. Retailed for $690.

Solstice --

Made in Taiwan from 1990-1991. Sold as a mixte or diamond. Retailed for $500.

Moo --

Made in Taiwan in 1998. Shimano Alivio components. Retailed for $575.

Flora --

Made in Taiwan in 1999. Shimano Alivio components. Replaced Moo. Retailed for $575. Available in French Blue Floral or French Blue.
