Led by a strong and active Volunteer Steering Committee, Backstage Revels is the invaluable volunteer organization that assists staff and crew in all facets of production and organization, from prop construction to general office help to special events planning. Backstage Revels volunteers are the backbone of Revels, Inc.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Backstage Revels Steering Committee is to support and perpetuate the continued involvement of volunteers in the various activities of Revels. We do this because volunteering has historically been an enormous part of Revels and because of the importance volunteering plays in the success of Revels both now and in the future. We accomplish this mission by coordinating the volunteer efforts which are undertaken in each of the separate activities, encouraging more volunteering in all aspects of Revels, including the steering committe, and by championing the accomplishments of the volunteers to the Revels community at large.

Backstage Revels Steering Committee Charter

To coordinate the many volunteer activities which take place during the year.
To encourage people to become involved in volunteer activities with Revels.
To document the process or processes which take place in each separate volunteer activity.
To identify the skills and interests which volunteers bring to the organization and see that those skills are utilized.
To create a social framework in which projects take place.
To acknowledge and reward the volunteers for their efforts.
