J.I.S. One Inch Threaded Headsets

The J.I.S. (Japanese Industrial Standard) size was used on older Japanese and other Asian bikes, most commonly less expensive models. Later, higher-priced Asian bikes use the ISO size.

NOTE: The Tange headset is NOT "Full JIS". They have 30.2mm cups. We've sold hundreds of the Tange headsets over the years and have not heard of any problems when installing the 30.2mm cups into 30.0mm I.D. headtubes. If you have any doubts, choose the Velo-Orange "Full JIS" headset.
