Currently, this size is very popular on MTBs, Hybrids and Comfort Bikes. Also on steel framed randonneuring and commuting bikes.

This is the size used on most older French touring, tandem and utility bikes.

This size was also used on a few models from Raleigh (Portage) and Schwinn (Frontier, Mirada
and labeled as 26x1-1/2". (This is not the same as the Canadian 26x1-1/2" size-that's 571 mm.)
