Unlike so many other bike lights that are merely flashlights with mounting brackets, the beam of the IXON Core is shaped like an automotive low beam, so there's no glare in the eyes of oncoming traffic or pedestrians. ALL of the light is focused on the road, where it belongs.

Sharp horizontal cutoff to the top of the beam to keep focused light out of the eyes of oncoming drivers. Beam is brightest at the top getting progressively dimmer towards the bottom so as to give even lighting to the road both close to you and far away, just like a high quality automobile low beam.
