Machine-built wheels are not tensioned and trued to the level of custom hand-built wheels.

We build custom wheels, with care and attention to detail.

Wheel Build Labor Charge $45.00 & Up   Click "Add To Cart" button if you want us to build a wheel with the components you have ordered. We will re-use your old hubs if you wish, but will not use used spokes nor rims.

DT Competition	Silver $1.20 Black $1.69	Double Butted 2.0/1.8/2.0 (14/15/14)	The Double-Butted DT Competition is a great all-around spoke. These Swiss-made stainless steel spokes have three thicknesses: 2.0 (14 gauge) mm at the ends. 1.8 mm (15 gauge) in the middle. Not only does this save weight, but the thinner middle section gives the spoke, and the wheel, greater elasticity for increased durability. 12mm brass nipples included
FiberFix Emergency Repair Spoke	$11.95	Kevlar Cord Universal Size	This wonderful product can save your tour! Replace a broken spoke with a Kevlar cord and get back on the road! You don't need to remove the cassette or brake to install one of these. They're even re-usable! Emergency spoke wrench included.

Other Gauges and Colors

The spokes listed above are generally kept in stock in natural silver color (Many sizes available in black too!). You can order them in any quantity you desire.

We stock an unusually wide range of sizes of spokes, but that means that we can't also stock unusual colors or gauges that we don't recommend.

We can special order other types of spokes for you, but they are only sold in the package quantites our distributor handles:

Length Calculations

We provide a downloadable spoke calculator on our Website, but results are not guaranteed.

If you wish, you may order spokes and have us do the calculation for you. We'll need to know the rim size and model, the hub make and model, and number of spokes.

NOTE: Spokes are not returnable under any circumstances, sorry, even if we do the calculation and get it wrong.

Nipples

Standard 12 mm nickel-plated brass nipples are included in the spoke prices listed above. Black spokes come with black colored brass nipples.

For light-weight applications, aluminum nipples are also available, at an extra charge of $.18 for the natural silver color.

Some rims require longer (16 mm) nipples. Add $.10 for nickel/brass, or $.20 for aluminum. Note: None of the rims we stock require 16mm nipples.

Note, aluminum nipples should only be used with rims that have ferrules (eyelets.)
