If you build with small diameter rims and large diameter hubs then make sure you select a suitable cross pattern to bring the spoke entry angle down to a reasonable level because if it becomes too large then there will be lots of stress on the spoke which could lead to fatigue issues resulting in spokes snapping at the threads.
